Aba Aluminum Plant has given priority to efficient and environment-friendly processing facilities. The Plant accelerated the process of dismantling old equipments aiming to transform itself into a modern industrial plant with garden-style.
The newly introduced 90,000 mt Aluminum production line has abandoned the model of separate purification of smoke and gas. It adopted a more advanced integral purification system for smoke and gas, which firstly transports fresh alumina into integral purification box to become fluorinated alumina after encountering fluorine absorbed by recycled fumes. The fluorinated alumina is then sent to electrolytic cell through chute for calcification. This process greatly helps achieve environmental targets as well as reduce production cost as a result of decreasing fluoride consumption, which in turn reduce generation of hydrogen-fluoride. Apart from the purification system itself, some renovation work has also been conducted to the associated airtight electrolytic cell cover. Compared to Phase One, Phase Two project has significantly reduced fumes and dust at spot, which has improved the environment, reduced fault rate for all types of equipments and help hit environmental target for emission.
The renovation of Phase One Fumes Purification System is being constructed and it is expected to start up-running late this June. By then a clean and modern industrial plant will have emerged in front of the world, leading the overall working condition in Aba Aluminum Plant to a new era.
